About Randy's Dive Shop
A Deep History, A New Chapter
Randy’s Dive Shop has been a cornerstone of the Western PA diving community since 1965. Originally founded by Dan Woodward and named after his son Randy, the shop quickly became a local hub for all things SCUBA. In 1982, Barb and Van McGhee took over and continued to grow the community, welcoming new divers from as far as West Virginia and Ohio.
In January 2022, passionate divers Aaron and Chaia Schilke became the new owners of Randy’s Dive Shop. With a passion for the underwater world and a commitment to building community, Aaron and Chaia are carrying the torch forward—modernizing the shop while honoring its decades-long legacy.

Whether you're dipping your fins in for the first time or you're a seasoned diver looking for your next adventure, we're here to provide the training, equipment, and support you need to dive confidently and safely.

Randy’s Dive Shop isn’t just a place to get certified—it’s a community. Whether it’s hanging out after pool sessions, exploring local dive sites, or traveling the world together, our divers form real friendships that last far beyond the final dive.
We also believe in having fun. That’s why we created the Scubacabra—our very own underwater cryptid and shop mascot. Keep an eye out for Scubacabra sightings on your next dive, and don’t forget to tag us when you take him along!
